So the study abroad office found a ceramics room for me to go to, and I go Mondays and Wednesdays from 2 till whenever I want. Today was especially cool.
I was minding my own business doing some slab work, making some lace cups, and this woman came up to me. This woman is a professional potter, in Lithuania - which is a big deal because the arts aren't a super big deal here. She studied ceramics in Vilnius and now has her own studio in her home. She said she'll show me her studio someday if I would like, and I told her I would LOVE that.
So that was my day. It ended with booking a flight to Paris with Pennsylvania Hannah.. I am really excited to go just the two of us because it means a lot less complications.. And we're both super low key so it shall be wonderful. We'll also be there around Christmas, and that will be amazing!
I got to talk to my girls Whit and Mo this week, which was so good. I needed that.
During sweden I got a little homesick. Stockholm is definitely a European city, but it is westernized enough that it made me miss home a lot.
Of course I had to take a picture by the bikes for my dad :] and I managed to wear a skirt for a full day! |
Well, I am alive and well. And truly thankful for that.
until next time,
Paige
