polandia.

Poland was wonderful! We were there Friday through earrrrrrly Thursday morning. We read our tickets wrong, and spent an extra day in the beautiful city of Krakow. The sights were breathtaking, the food was outrageously delicious, and the people were such pleasant individuals.

We lucked out on where we were staying, booking the hostel the morning we left and all. We ended up staying in Kazimierz, the Jewish quarters of town. It's basically the Soho of Krakow, and I am so glad we ended up there.

Our bus was a a twelve hour ride from Kaunas, Lithuania to Krakow. Not my favorite choice of travel, but hey we got to go somewhere for cheap. We went on two free walking tours, which were filled with interesting facts and stories about Krakow and the Jewish Quarters! I can't get over how cool the Jewish quarter is, if you're ever in Krakow it is so worth your time.

The rest of our time was spent cafe hopping and eating tasty food. There was a shop called Bagel Mama and considering we have no bagels in Lithuania we went there a few times.. and it was perfect.

The pattern of the sun is getting to where it only comes up a little bit and then goes down around 4:30, that's pretty trippy. So the lighting most of the days looks like it's early morning. And it's extremely cold, this california girl can't take much more!

Here are some pictures, i'll share my experience to Auschwitz another day.

I got a cold from my travels, so I am unfortunately spending my friday night indoors doing nothing. super boring unfortunately.

talk to you all later, enjoy the pictures!
